What a 3 years it has been…The lowest lows and the highest highs have occurred in the last 3 years. Not just in business either. When you work for yourself, you don’t have the luxury of separation, your time is always split. I have no regrets, other than I should’ve slept more (but having a new baby will do that). I have so much coming up to look forward to. I have opened doors I never thought I’d have the chance to knock on.
What have I learned could fill a book, but words only I would understand. My journey has been my own, it’s personal and I own it. Because without those lessons, I wouldn’t have made it here. And here is good, the hindsight is promising and for the first time I am really proud of what I’ve done. Failures and all, I would do it all again.
I had the opportunity to take a business trip to Seattle. Much was accomplished and I’m so happy that I was able to get away. Seattle is just beautiful! Just changing your location can open you up to so much. It helps put things into perspective and motivates you to define your priorities. #LoveAmazon
This past year brought so many new opportunities for ITL to look forward to in 2016 and I’m so thankful. We welcomed a new baby girl to the world in early October and our little family is so happy right now.
ITL expanded internationally this past year and I cannot wait for what is to come next. I have plans as big as my dreams, so who knows what will happen.
I’ve focused more on my health and personal growth, which has given me the energy to keep things moving forward. I have learned through it all that when I’m at my best, I have the best to give.
After making Amazon my sole focus over a year ago, I’m so proud to announce ITL was extended the great honor of becoming an Amazon Exclusive brand. Before I used to spend so much time hustling for growth on other platforms, and never had any luck. So much work for very little in return. However, early on I felt that Amazon would be different. I put in the dedication and it always paid off. Now I’ve been offered the opportunity to be a part of this new initiative and I’m blown away. This chance is amazing for ITL and I look forward to where this will take the brand. Thank you Amazon…thank you.
Life has a funny way of testing you. And I have learned the hard way that sometimes the actual test is how you react to the issue. Starting something new brings fear and challenges to your plate and for me figuring out my balance showed the true strength of my determination. Also knowing that not everything works out, but hopefully what prevails is the lessons learned. I have always been upfront with the fact that I fail, and even when I think I may be right at the time, I can look back and realize where to grow from there.
It has been a great day and an even better year! I always feel grateful for the good times and the challenging times. Each experience Ive had starting my own company has been so amazing. Truly it has given me the strength to be the independent person I’ve always wanted to be.
While 2 years sometimes seems long and sometimes it seems like all this happened in the blink of an eye, it has all felt so worth it. I wouldn’t change anything I’ve done (well just a few things :), but overall I needed the failures to have the successes. I have found my calling as an entrepreneur and when I get to write reflections like this I really feel alive.
To all those people who are weighing the risk of starting something for themselves, just go for it. Plan and research, but go for it!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love Amazon! ITL is getting closer to being an entity in Canada through e-commerce giant Amazon. I’ll be even more excited once we launch, but right now I’m feeling pretty great! We’ve enjoyed selling around the globe through Amazon.com, but now being a part of Amazon.ca will help ITL grow into an international brand. As always, thanks Amazon for supporting new and emerging brands!
2015 is going to be a new kind of year for ITL! I’ve taken to the drawing board again to expand on what I originally created. It’s been a longer road than I anticipated to get here, but all the while I’ve stayed positive that it would happen…and it did. Ive been over the moon with these new designs (of course, Im partial). The quality is second to none and the functionality is majorly on point. I’ll be even more excited to launch these new bags…so stay tuned. Launching 2016/2017
This year came and went… I wish everyone a safe and very Happy Holiday!
I think I said the exact same thing last Thanksgiving…Im thankful for both the times that are amazing and the times that are hard. Year after year, they make me a stronger person and help me define who I really am. Peace this holiday season.
